In Bangladesh, election campaigning has started in full swing before the elections on 12th February. BNP, Jamaat-e-Islami, NCP and other political parties have started campaigning. During the election campaign, BNP leaders are trying to woo Awami League supporters and claiming that innocent people will not be punished at any cost.

Awami League And BNP, these two parties are known as main rivals in politics, but before the Bangladesh elections, BNP leaders are worried about the supporters of Awami League.

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir talked about the security of Awami League workers. During the election campaign, the BNP candidate from Thakurgaon-1 seat while giving a message to the supporters of the opposition Awami League said, “We will not allow those who have done no wrong to be punished.”

One who has done no wrong will not be punished

According to a report by Prothom Alo, expressing hope that the upcoming elections will be fair, Mirza Fakhrul said, "Were you able to vote for the last 15 years? You were not able to vote. At that time, voting was done the night before. Now the opportunity has come."

Referring to Sheikh Hasina, he said, our beauty has gone to India. She went to India, she did good, but why did she put the supporters and workers of the area in danger? We want to tell workers and supporters that you will not be in danger. We are with you. Those who have done wrong will be punished. Those who have not done anything wrong will not be punished.

He said, I am your son, your brother. I have won and lost elections from this area. When I lost, I didn't leave you. I am 78 years old, but I am still young at heart. I think I can still do a lot of work. If I get a chance, I can solve the problems of the area.

Message of Hindu-Muslim unity

Also giving the message of religious unity, Mirza Fakhrul said, I would like to request the Muslim-Hindu brothers and sisters that we all work together for the development of the area. This development can only produce paddy husk, nothing else can. Today some people want to divide us. Do we Hindus and Muslims live separately in Bangladesh?”

He said that Hindus and Muslims live together in the area. They hang out together. Hindus come to our festivals, we go to Hindu pujas. We want to maintain this situation. We Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, Christians all want to build a country together. We want to provide equal protection to everyone.

Ban on Avim League, an effort to woo supporters

Elections are to be held in Bangladesh on 12 February. This time, after the end of the interim government of Mohammad Yunus, the elected government will be formed. However, Sheikh Hasina's Awami League is not able to participate in this election because the Election Commission has banned them, but BNP has limited its focus to Bangladesh during the election campaign.

Recently, Tariq Rehman had said that neither Delhi nor Rawadpindi, for him Bangladesh is first and now BNP leaders are talking about giving equal importance to people of all religions and giving security to leaders of other parties. Through this, BNP is trying to send a message to the people of Bangladesh that under their rule, whether they are supporters of Awami League or supporters of any other party, they will be completely safe and the development of Bangladesh will be their focus.

At the same time, during the Yunus government, not only have atrocities against minorities increased in Bangladesh, but Awami League supporters are also being targeted. There have been allegations of punishing Awami League supporters and implicating them in false allegations. In such a situation, this promise of BNP is giving a sigh of relief to the supporters of Awami League.
