New Delhi. India’s first indigenous multi-purpose caliber long range rocket launcher system ‘Suryastra’ will make its first appearance on the path of duty today. Capable of striking up to a depth of 300 kilometers, this system can plunge all major cities of Pakistan from Karachi to Lahore into ‘sunset-like darkness’ at 12 noon. Know its power.

This time, India is going to display a weapon in the Republic Day parade, whose mere glimpse can instill fear in the heart of the enemy. India’s first indigenous multi-caliber long-range rocket launcher system, ‘Suryastra’, will make its first appearance on duty today. This system, capable of striking up to a depth of 300 kilometers, will be deployed.

All major Pakistani cities, from Karachi to Lahore, could experience a sunset-like darkness at 12 noon. The sunset symbolizes India’s new strategy of “deep-strike deterrence,” which is enough to make Pakistan sweat.

Suryastra is India’s first Made-in-India, multi-caliber, long-range rocket launcher system, developed by Pune-based NIBE Limited in collaboration with Israel’s Elbit Systems. Based on Elbit’s PULS (Precise & Universal Launching System) architecture, it is capable of delivering highly accurate strikes at ranges of 150 kilometers and 300 kilometers.

Suryastra’s greatest strength
is that in testing, Suryastra has demonstrated an accuracy of less than five meters (circular error probable), making it lethal against enemy airbases, radars, command centers, and missile installations. Furthermore, the system can also fire loitering munitions up to 100 kilometers.

The Suryastra’s greatest strength is its multi-caliber capability. A single launcher can fire a variety of rockets and guided munitions, increasing operational flexibility and reducing logistical burden. The system is mounted on BEML’s High Mobility Vehicle (HMV), allowing it to be deployed at very fast locations.

Karachi, Lahore, Pindi… the shadow of sunset over them all

Defense experts say that Suryastra has significantly enhanced India’s deep strike capability. Major Pakistani cities like Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi are now within India’s direct reach. A single Suryastra attack can set the sun on enemy airspace even at 12 noon. In addition to Suryastra, the Republic Day Parade will also showcase several other modern weapons, including the BrahMos, Akash missile system, MRSAM, ATAGS, Dhanush cannon, and Shaktiban. Four Zanskar ponies, two Bactrian camels, birds of prey, and army dogs will also be seen for the first time.
When Suryastra is seen on duty today, it will be more than just a weapon, but a symbol of India’s new military strength and confidence. This system not only provides the ability to strike enemies from a distance but also enhances the Indian Army’s mobility and flexibility. Experts believe that Suryastra has significantly strengthened India’s strategic depth. This is a big message for Pakistan that now India has become expert not only in defensive but also in offensive deep-strikes.
