UGC's Anti-Discrimination Rule-2026 is surrounded in controversies. Amidst this protest, Bareilly City Magistrate Alankar Agnihotri has resigned from the post. He has cited UGC rules and the insult to Shankaracharya Avimukteshwaranand in Prayagraj as the reason behind this. He said that on both these serious issues (UGC and Shankaracharya), no opposition has been expressed by the Brahmins and other representatives of the general category sitting in the Central and State Governments. Whereas all of them have been elected by the homogeneous public to think about their society and decide the policy related to their interest.

Alankar Agnihotri said, this is a situation of confusion and confusion, in which Brahmins and other public representatives of the general category have become servants of some corporate company instead of being accountable to their own community. Let us know what else he said while resigning…

  1. In the letter sent to the Governor and the Election Commission, he said, in relation to the local administration beating Shankaracharya's disciples in Prayagraj Magh Mela and resigning from the Uttar Pradesh Provincial Civil Service after being hurt by the UGC Regulations 2026 like Rowlatt Act 2026 in the Gazette issued by the Government of India…
  2. This is to inform that I Alankar Agnihotri is currently a Gazetted Officer of 2019 batch in Uttar Pradesh Provincial Service. Presently I am serving in Bareilly district as City Magistrate, Bareilly. I also want to bring to your notice that I had the privilege of earning a B.Tech degree from IIT BHU under Banaras Hindu University, for which I will be grateful to Bharat Ratna Mahamana Madan Mohan Malviya throughout my life. Taking inspiration from his own self-confidence, the way he established Banaras Hindu University and keeping in mind Chiranjeevi Hanuman ji, I am expressing my feelings further.
  3. Madam, this year 2026, during the bath of Mauni Amavasya in Magh Mela in Prayagraj, Shankaracharya of Jyotish Peeth and his disciple Batuk Brahmins were beaten up by the local administration. Along with killing the old Acharyas, the Batuk Brahmin was beaten by throwing him on the ground and dragging his head with his hands. Dignity was violated.
  4. Since the peak/crest is a religious and cultural symbol of Brahmins, saints and sages. I am a Brahmin myself. It is clear from the incident that Brahmins have been insulted nationwide by local efforts, this is a matter of concern and serious matter and the occurrence of such incidents in this government shakes the soul of an ordinary Brahmin.
  5. From this episode it appears that the local administration and the present state government are working with an anti-Brahmin ideology and are playing with the identity of saints and sages. Madam, apart from this, I would like to inform you that from the provisions issued in Para 2, 5, 6 and 7 of the University Grants Commission issued in the Gazette of India published on January 13, 2026, it is clear that the one who exploits a particular class of general category students in a very discriminatory manner has been considered a self-proclaimed criminal. The regulation issued in this gazette is not meant for equality but for the general category which includes students of Brahmin, Kshajiya, Kayasya, Bhumihar etc. It will give rise to adverse activities and conspiracies against them.
  6. The possibility of the Samata Committee members mentioned in the Gazette physically abusing a general category student to acquit her on the basis of a fake complaint cannot be ruled out. And the possibility of playing with the future of general category students by making fake (baseless complaints) out of jealousy of talented general category students cannot be ruled out.
  7. This adverse situation will create internal strife on a large scale in our country. This UGC Regulation 2026 appears to have been implemented by the Central Government with the concept of dividing the Hindu society into various sub-groups and ruling them. The present government seems to be following the British policy of “Divide & Rule”. This has to be withdrawn immediately.
  8. No protest was expressed by the Brahmins and other public representatives of the general category sitting in the Central and State Government on these two serious issues. Whereas all of them have been elected by the homogeneous public to think about their society and decide the policy related to their interest.
  9. This is a situation of extreme confusion and confusion, in which Brahmins and other public representatives of the general category, instead of being accountable to their own community, have become servants of some corporate company and are sitting silent as mute spectators. As if waiting for some order from the Chief Executive Officer of a corporate company. This has created a very ridiculous and confusing situation for the Central and State Governments.
  10. There is no public representative who speaks in the interest of Brahmins and other general class. Due to which the entire general class is feeling orphaned and helpless. Now the time has come that Brahmins and representatives of the entire general class should create an alternative political system for this. So that the interests of the general class can be protected. Also, the confusion between the central government and the state government can go away.
