New Delhi: The tableau from Odisha showcased during the 77th Republic Day celebrations on Kartavya Path illustrated the state's evolution from its agricultural roots to a focus on innovation and technology.

This display emphasized the idea that genuine self-sufficiency is built on traditional values while being enhanced by modern technology and skills.

The forefront of the float prominently featured the role of women in fostering inclusive growth, highlighting Odisha's dedication to equitable development and its increasing influence in India's socio-economic landscape.

At the heart of the tableau was a hand grasping a semiconductor chip, symbolizing Odisha's rise as a center for technological progress.

In contrast, a depiction of Koraput coffee represented sustainable livelihoods, tribal empowerment, and excellence in local agriculture.

Live demonstrations of handloom weaving and handicrafts illustrated the strength of the state's artisanal economy and the preservation of traditional crafts in contemporary settings.

The back of the tableau included a replica of the iconic Konark Sun Temple, representing Odisha's rich artistic and cultural heritage.

Pattachitra paintings, tribal art, the Jagannath chariot wheel, and intricate silver filigree designs adorned the sides of the float, showcasing the state's vibrant cultural identity and craftsmanship.

Additionally, performers presented the 16th-century folk dance Chaiti Ghodaa, adding a lively cultural element that highlighted Odisha's significant contributions to India's journey towards self-reliance.
