This is the horrifying moment a masked mob showed up at a Bradford garage armed with bats and metal bars. Calling it a "targeted attack", police said around 17 attackers reached the garage off Leeds Road on Saturday evening.
West Yorkshire Police said that the group attacked three men at the premises, who were taken to the hospital to treat their injuries. The CCTV image captures a disturbing scene at the centre of what Bradford detectives are calling a major incident of affray. Police were alerted just after 7pm on January 24, following reports that a group of armed individuals had attacked three men inside a property on Gledhill Road.
Early investigations suggest that around 17 people were involved, arriving and fleeing in three separate vehicles, one of which was a black Nissan Nivara.
Officers have since arrested three suspects - two 24yearold men and a 50yearold man - all from Bradford. While the younger men remain in custody, the older suspect has been questioned and released on conditional bail as enquiries continue.
Detective Inspector Andrew Queen, of Bradford CID, said: "This appears to have been a targeted, pre-planned attack with those involved turning up at the premises armed with bats and metal bars.
"Thankfully, while one of the victims continues to receive hospital treatment, all three are expected to make a full recovery.
"This incident was understandably very concerning for those involved, though, and we are conducting extensive enquiries to identify those responsible.
"There is CCTV which shows the events surrounding this incident, and I am hopeful that someone may have more information about the individuals or vehicles involved in this offence."
