Jurrien Timber, William Saliba, Mikel Merino and Max Dowman all missed Arsenal's open training session on Tuesday morning ahead of the Champions League clash against Kairat Almaty.
The Gunners welcome the side from Kazakhstan to north London on Wednesday, with Mikel Arteta's side top of the league phase table. A point is all the Gunners need to cement their position at the top of the table and given the opposition, Arteta may use the fixture to rotate.
Timber, Saliba and Merino all played a part in the 3-2 loss to Manchester United on Sunday and the reason why they missed Tuesday's session is unclear at this stage. Dowman, meanwhile, has been out since December with an ankle injury and is not expected to return until next month.

Riccardo Calafiori did take part in the session, however, in what is a huge boost for the Gunners. The defender has not featured since pulling up in the warm-up against Brighton on December 27 and may not be in connection to play a part against Kairat.
Arsenal have won all seven of their Champions League games so far this campaign, beating the likes of Atletico Madrid, Bayern Munich and Inter Milan. Arteta, who will address the media on Tuesday afternoon, is expected to rotate the side for the visit of Kairat, who are bottom of the league phase table and have picked up only one point.
Asked for his thoughts on his side's performances in Europe this season, Arteta said last week after the 3-1 win at Inter: "First of all, the ambition and the conviction that we have that we can compete against any team. Then you have to do it on the day. In order to do that a lot of things have to go your way, and you have to put a lot of things on the table to make it happen.
"And I love the attitude of the team to come to this table in that atmosphere against the opponent that we have, because they are really good and they make it so hard for you, because they stretch you so much. In two passes, you're open. But we played with a lot of intelligence, and when we have to manage the game, we've done it with the Champions League.
"It's a very important thing. And the starters made an impact, the subs made an impact, and that's all the ingredients that you need at the end of the day. You want to have the option to win it."
