Madhavan’s appearance adds to a growing list of well-known personalities who have made their way to the Dubai racing venue to support Ajith’s motorsport pursuits. Over recent weeks, the track has become an unexpected gathering point for figures from the Indian film industry, all keen to witness Ajith’s commitment to racing at close quarters.
Earlier this month, actor Nayanthara and her husband, filmmaker Vignesh Shivan, visited the Autodrome during the Dubai 24-hour endurance race. Ajith was participating in the Dubai 24H Series, one of the region’s prominent motorsport events. A short video showing Ajith greeting the couple at the venue gained significant traction online, reflecting public interest in his racing journey.
Before that visit, actor Sibi Sathyaraj had shared his own experience of meeting Ajith at the circuit. Posting a video on social media, Sibi described his admiration for Ajith’s dedication and the effort involved in balancing a demanding film career with the rigours of professional racing. He also noted the warmth with which Ajith welcomed his family, highlighting the personal side of the actor’s interactions away from the film sets.

According to sources close to the actor, a docu-film chronicling his motorsport journey is slated for a theatrical release on May 1, coinciding with his birthday. The project is being directed by A. L. Vijay and is expected to have a runtime of approximately 90 minutes.
The documentary aims to go beyond race-day action. Those involved with the project say it seeks to motivate young people whose ambitions may have been set aside due to life’s pressures. By documenting Ajith’s disciplined approach to pursuing a long-held passion, the film intends to highlight the value of perseverance and long-term commitment.
In addition to its inspirational message, the film is also seen as an effort to broaden perceptions of motorsport in India, where the sport is often viewed as inaccessible. Director Vijay has reportedly filmed races in Malaysia and captured extensive behind-the-scenes material, including strategy discussions, team briefings, practice sessions, and Ajith’s personal preparations. Further footage from races in Abu Dhabi and Dubai is also expected to form part of the final cut, offering audiences a comprehensive look at the demands of competitive racing.
