Morrisons has made a major change to its daily stores that will remain in place for the next couple of weeks. The supermarket has branched out across the UK with over 1,700 convenience stores, as well as its main large shops.

Customers are able to save when they shop at Morrisons thanks to its More Card scheme. It gives shoppers five points for almost every product they buy, which can be redeemed for £5 vouchers when enough is collected. For the next two weeks, shoppers can earn even more points if they go to a Morrisons Daily.

The supermarket has rolled out a Double Points promotion across its daily stores. It means that instead of getting five points on every product, you can earn 10 More Points.

The scheme will make it easier to build up rewards on everyday purchases. Morrisons' deal is available in all daily stores nationwide and in the Channel Islands, except Motor Fuel Group sites.

The promotion covers the entire in-store range, so you can collect points on snacks, essentials and food on the go. Gareth Lloyd, director of loyalty at Morrisons, said: "From quick top-ups on the way home to everyday essentials like milk or a loaf of bread, Morrisons Daily is designed for those convenient, everyday moments.

"The Morrisons More Card rewards customers even when they're not doing a full weekly shop, and with double points on offer, even those smaller local purchases will help to top-up your points, giving shoppers even more value every time they visit us."

The Double Points scheme will run until February 8. It comes just after Morrisons announced it would be axing a popular loyalty scheme after 14 years.

It ended their Christmas Savers Stamp scheme at the end of last year, meaning no more stamps will be issued to help shoppers save for the big occassion. The scheme allowed More Card holders to buy digital stamps for £1 at checkouts throughout the year.

Morrisons added bonus stamps depending on how much was saved, which would all be totalled into a voucher that could be spent in stores in November and December.

Announcing the end of the Christmas Savers scheme, Morrisons said: "After careful consideration, we'll be ending our Christmas Saver Stamp scheme from the 31st December 2025.

"This change allows us to focus more on improving your personalised offers and enhancing the overall More Card experience."
