Job Opportunity for 12th Pass Candidates: Over 230 Vacancies in this State

Good news for young people preparing for jobs in Himachal Pradesh! More than 230 vacancies have been announced in the state. Interested candidates can apply through the official website.

The Himachal Pradesh State Selection Commission (HPRCA) has announced recruitment for 234 posts of Junior Office Assistant (IT). Importantly, the application process has already begun, and interested candidates can apply online until February 27th.

The recruitment advertisement was released by the commission on January 21, 2026, on its official website. The online application process started on January 27, 2026, and will continue until February 27, 2026.

Regarding eligibility, candidates must have passed 10+2 from a recognized board or institution. Candidates who have completed a 1 or 2-year diploma or certificate in IT or ITES after matriculation are also eligible to apply.

Candidates holding a three-year diploma in Computer Science or IT from an AICTE-approved polytechnic are also eligible for this recruitment. Additionally, candidates must have a typing speed of 30 words per minute in English or 25 words per minute in Hindi.

The age limit for candidates is a minimum of 18 years and a maximum of 45 years. This age limit will be determined as of January 1, 2026. SC, ST, OBC, PwD candidates, Himachal Pradesh government employees, and ex-servicemen will receive a 5-year relaxation in the upper age limit.

The selection process will be completed in two stages. The first stage will be a computer-based written examination. This exam will consist of 120 multiple-choice questions. Each question will carry one mark, and the duration of the exam will be one and a half hours. After the written examination, a typing test will be conducted. This test will be mandatory but only qualifying, meaning passing is required, but the marks will not be added to the final score. Candidates selected for this position will initially receive a salary of ₹12,500 per month. The application fee is ₹800, which includes a ₹100 examination fee and a ₹700 processing fee.
