Royal Challengers Bengaluru defeated the UP Warriorz by 8 wickets to qualify for the final of the Women’s Premier League 2026. Chasing 144 runs, Grace Harris and Smriti Mandhana led the chase perfectly, with their franchise winning in 13.1 overs.

Harris went on a rampage from the start, scoring 75 runs off 37 balls, laced with 13 fours and 2 sixes. On the other hand, captain Mandhana posted an unbeaten 54 runs off 27 deliveries, with the help of 8 fours and 2 sixes.

The two added 108 runs in 54 balls for the first wicket. Earlier, UP Warriorz’ innings crawled to reach 143/8 in 20 overs, with all-rounder Deepti Sharma amassing 55 runs off 43 balls. She was sent to open the innings but failed to take advantage of the field restrictions.

Although she hit 6 boundaries and 1 six, it was not enough to put a big total on the board. She added 74 runs with Meg Lanning for the first wicket, with the skipper accumulating 41 runs off 30 deliveries, packed with 6 boundaries and 1 maximum.

Harleen Deol (14 off 14) and Simran Shaikh (10 off 11) were the other two batters who entered the double-digit mark.

Nadine de Klerk was the main reason behind UP’s low score as she took 4 wickets and conceded just 22 runs from her 4 overs. Harris (2 wickets), Lauren Bell (1 wicket) and Shreyanka Patil (1 wicket) were impressive with the ball.

RCB have 12 points from 8 matches, with the 2024 champions completing their group stage proceedings. UP Warriors have four points from seven games, with contests left, but they are out of the playoff race.
