Actually, he was not a thief by profession, nor was there any criminal record against him. But his intention, like his own, was to trouble his master and make him realize his problem. An employee stole with the intention of harassing his boss like himself.
According to the information, on September 9, 2025, a major theft took place in Kanak Durga Finance Company located in Chintalpuri. This company gives loans to its customers by mortgaging their gold jewellery. Vadalmudi's employee Uma Mahesh, who had come to audit the gold so pledged, when his attention was elsewhere, he filled four and a half kilos of gold in a bag he had brought with him and ran away. The same night the company manager lodged a complaint with the police and Chintalpuri police registered the case and started investigation. At that time, even after searching the vehicles, the accused could not be traced.
However, the police have arrested Mahesh on charges of theft, who was absconding after the theft incident. The total value of the stolen gold is estimated to be around Rs 7 crore. However, he used only 6 grams of the ring for his personal use. The police recovered the remaining gold from the accused. But when the police asked Mahesh the reason behind this theft, it came to light that it was very strange.
Mahesh's native district is Nellore, but his wife also works in the same company where he works. Mahesh got angry when the company owner spoke rudely to his wife and he committed theft. He also felt stressed by this incident and thought that the company would be in trouble, but now he has been declared a thief and will have to go to jail. After being absconding for almost four months, despite not being able to contact anyone even on phone, he was caught on the basis of clues given by the Information and Communication Department of the police department.
