Dehradun: When the leaders who often attack each other in the politics of Uttarakhand meet, the pictures become special. One such interesting picture has emerged from Dehradun, where Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reached the house of his political rival and former Chief Minister Harish Rawat. The special thing was that CM Dhami had gone not empty handed, but with a bag of rice grown in his field.
This meeting was a courtesy call, but behind it was an old promise which CM Dhami has now fulfilled. The Chief Minister himself shared the pictures of this meeting on his social media account, after which it is being discussed a lot in political circles.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami met former CM Harish Rawat at his Defense Colony residence to inquire about his well being. While sharing many pictures of this occasion, CM Dhami wrote:
CM Dhami described this gift as an honor to the agricultural tradition of Uttarakhand and the hard work of the farmers. At the same time, Harish Rawat also thanked the Chief Minister for this intimacy and called it a good example of mutual respect and harmony.
The strings of this meeting are linked to an old incident. In fact, some time ago, during his visit to Khatima, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami was seen plowing the fields. Senior Congress leader Harish Rawat had then commented on his farming pictures.
At that time, CM Dhami had said in reply that when the crop from his field is ready, he will feed them also. Now when the crop was ready, CM Dhami himself reached Harish Rawat’s house with rice to fulfill his promise. People are seeing this picture of political harmony as the Chief Minister keeping his promise.
