The Bihar Technical Public Service Commission (BTSC) has reopened the application process for Pump Operator positions. Candidates who were unable to apply for the Pump Operator positions for any reason can now register online on the official BTSC website. Applications for a total of 191 Pump Operator positions will begin on January 31st, and candidates can apply until February 8th.

Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the Pump Operator positions, candidates must have passed Class 10th from a recognized institution in India. In addition, candidates must possess an ITI certificate in the Machinist and Fitter trades.
The age of the candidates will be calculated as of August 1, 2025. The minimum age for applying is 18 years. The maximum age limit is 37 years for unreserved candidates, 40 years for unreserved women and OBC candidates, and 42 years for SC and ST candidates.

Registration Fee
Payment of the registration fee is mandatory for all categories of candidates. The registration fee is Rs. 100 for all categories of candidates.

Exam Pattern
Candidates will be selected through a written examination. The written examination will consist of 100 questions carrying 100 marks. The exam will be of a two-hour duration. There will be negative marking in this exam; one mark will be awarded for each correct answer, and one-fourth of a mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
