Geeta Knowledge: Bhagavad Gita contains a description of the teachings of Lord Krishna, which he gave to Arjuna in the land of Kurukshetre. Bhagavad Gita is such a religious scripture and divine teachings whose knowledge helps in understanding every aspect of life. The knowledge given by Lord Shri Krishna to Arjun during the Mahabharata war is called Geeta Gyan or Geeta Upadesh. It has 18 chapters and 700 verses. The teachings of Geeta through the ages are equally relevant even today.

Despite being a religious text, Geeta teaches the lessons of religion, karma, ethics, love and compassion along with spirituality. It contains the philosophy of complete life, following which the person lives a happy and successful life free from fear, stress, anxiety, anger etc. Therefore, every person must read Geeta and follow the things mentioned in it in his life. The knowledge of Geeta teaches the skill of knowing oneself through introspection.

We have many things and also many relationships of which we are proud. But it is said in Geeta that no matter how many friends you have, there are only two true friends in life. Let us know who are these two true friends according to Geeta.

Just give me your true partner in life

Geeta Gyan in Hindi

Man completes the cycle of birth and death in his lifetime and both of these are the truth of human life, through which every person has to go through. Just as birth is true, death is also an unchangeable truth. After birth, a person achieves many things in his lifetime and also gets associated with many relationships. But after death all of them are left here. That’s why all these stay together only for life. But there are some things which remain with you from birth till death, that is why in Bhagwat Geeta, Lord Shri Krishna calls these two true companions of life.

True companions of life according to Geeta

god and soul two true companions in life
god and soul two true companions in life

The essence of Geeta philosophy is that the only real companion in this world is the one who never leaves you. According to Geeta, God and soul are the two true companions of life.

“Ishwarah Sarvbhutanaam Hriddesherjuna Tisthati.” (Chapter 18, Verse 61)
The meaning of this verse is that God resides in the heart of every living being. God remains with us even when everything leaves us, even the body.

“Na hanyate hanyamane sharire.”(Chapter 2, Verse 20)
The meaning of this verse is that the soul is not destroyed, it is beyond birth and death. Therefore the soul is immortal and the soul is a true companion, whose companionship lasts from birth to birth.

Apart from soul and God, relationships, relations, money, position and prestige etc. all these things support us only till one stage of life. But in good and bad times only two companions i.e. soul and God are with us. The rest we met here after birth and will be separated here. Therefore, soul and God have two true companions.
