Dhuarandhar Vs Jawan: Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal and Akshaye Khanna's film 'Dhurandhar' has also entered OTT after breaking all the records of earning at the box office. It is making waves on OTT also. This spy thriller film, directed by Aditya Dhar, was released on the big screen on December 5 last year. The film may not have had a bumper opening but in the first three weeks itself it had crossed the magical figure of Rs 500 crores.

Not only did people like the film, all its songs also became blockbusters and became popular among the people. The film returned the lost stardom to Akshay Khanna. 'Dhurandhar' emerged as the highest grossing Hindi film but in one case it was made under the direction of Atlee. Shahrukh Khan That it lagged behind 'Jawan'.

Where and how much earning?

According to Sacknilk Ranveer Singh 'Dhurandhar' did a net business of Rs 836.5 crore at the domestic box office and became the number 1 Hindi film in terms of earnings. Worldwide, 'Dhurandhar' was successful in leaving behind every Bollywood film in terms of earnings. It did a business of Rs 1302.5 crore worldwide. This film, released only in Hindi, collected a gross of Rs 1003.5 crore in India. Whereas 'Jawaan' earned Rs 640.25 crore (net) and Rs 760 crore (gross) at the domestic box office. Worldwide its figure reached Rs 1160 crore.

'Dhurandhar' could not defeat 'Jawan'

Despite such bumper and huge earnings, 'Dhurandhar' lagged far behind Shahrukh's 'Jawaan' in terms of footfalls (how many people bought tickets and watched the film). Among the films released after Covid, the record of highest footfalls is in the name of 'Jawaan'. Including all the versions of 'Jawaan', around 3.93 crore tickets were sold. Whereas only 3.55 crore tickets of 'Dhurandhar' have been sold. Let us tell you that these figures of footfalls are from the domestic box office.

How is 'Dhurandhar' ahead in earnings?

This question must be coming in the minds of many people that if tickets are sold to more 'jawans' then how come the earnings are more to 'dhurandhars'? So the answer lies in the price of tickets. According to the report, the ATP (average ticket price) of 'Dhurandhar' was about 30-40 percent more than that of 'Jawaan'. Therefore, 'Dhurandhar' earned more by selling tickets at a higher price.
