Manchester City's pursuit of the Premier League title faced a significant setback as they settled for a 2-2 draw against a struggling Tottenham on Sunday. Dominic Solanke's impressive acrobatic goal helped Spurs salvage a point.

City appeared to be on track for a comfortable victory, leading 2-0 at halftime, which would have added pressure on Spurs' manager Thomas Frank.

However, Solanke's two second-half goals shifted the momentum, leaving Pep Guardiola's squad six points behind league leaders Arsenal.

With only one win in their last six league matches, City is allowing Arsenal to inch closer to their first title in 22 years.

"We haven't shown the consistency needed to secure victories when others have," Guardiola remarked.

Rayan Cherki opened the scoring for City, and a brilliant save from Guglielmo Vicario denied him a second goal. Antoine Semenyo doubled City's lead before halftime, igniting frustration among Spurs fans.

In the second half, Solanke's return from injury proved pivotal, as he first reduced the deficit and then executed a stunning scorpion kick to equalize.

Manchester United's Thrilling Victory Over Fulham

Meanwhile, Manchester United secured a thrilling 3-2 victory against Fulham, marking their third consecutive win under new manager Michael Carrick, propelling them back into the top four, overtaking Chelsea and Liverpool.

Following a previous win against Arsenal, United showcased a return to their glory days, clinching victory in dramatic fashion after Fulham's comeback.

Goals from Casemiro and Matheus Cunha gave United a strong lead, but Fulham fought back, with Raul Jimenez scoring a late penalty to set up a tense finish.

Kevin's spectacular strike seemed to have earned Fulham a point, but United responded quickly, with Benjamin Sesko scoring the decisive goal after receiving a pass from Bruno Fernandes.

"It's an incredible feeling," Carrick expressed, reflecting on the excitement of the match.

Aston Villa's Title Hopes Diminish

In another match, Aston Villa's title aspirations took a hit as they lost 1-0 at home to Brentford, who played with ten men after Kevin Schade's red card.

Despite dominating possession in the second half, Villa struggled to break down Brentford's defense. A VAR review denied Tammy Abraham a debut goal after it was ruled that the ball had gone out of play.

Crystal Palace also failed to capitalize on a man advantage, drawing 1-1 with Nottingham Forest. Morgan Gibbs-White's early goal put Forest ahead, but Neco Williams' red card allowed Ismaila Sarr to equalize from the penalty spot.

Palace remains just three points above the relegation zone, continuing their search for a win.
