Drivers are facing rush hour traffic chaos following an incident on a major motorway. The M62 in East Riding of Yorkshire is closed eastbound between Junction 34 (Selby) and Junction 35 (M18) due to a collision.

Humberside Police Police are in attendance, and have urged motorists to avoid the area. The force said: "Please be aware that the eastbound carriageway of M62 near to J35 is closed whilst police deal with an ongoing incident. Please avoid the area. Thank you." Delays are likely on approach to the closure and diversion routes, National Highways said.
