Fans of Donald Trump have shared that they think "there's something very, very wrong with him" after a recent appearance. The American President was caught on camera next to his wife, Melania Trump, but he sparked concerns after "odd" behaviour.
They were being interviewed by journalists at the premiere of the First Lady's documentary, named Melania, which was released in cinemas across the world last year. But as his wife was talking about the film, Trump seemed somewhat disengaged. He stood an arm's length or so away from her, and as she spoke, he kept moving back and forth, tilting his head and making unusual facial movements. The uncomfortable clip soon picked up traction on social media, where one person captioned it, writing: "JFC...watch his face. His body movements. He's never looked this way before. Something is very, very wrong with him..."
Another person replied, commenting: "He looks entirely disconnected from her one small moment in the spotlight, and he seems unwell physically."
Others also noted how the US leader seemed to appear somewhat thinner than usual. "Why do none of his suits fit is what I wanna know," one wrote. Another said: "He looks like hes losing weight, quickly at that."
However, others assumed that his awkward appearance was more down to the fact that it was his wife in the limelight, instead of him. "He's not the one being interviewed so I suppose he feels a little awkward," someone wrote.
Another suggested: "He's just cranky because the focus of the night wasn't on him..." While one more echoed: "He just needs to be the center of attn and doesn' t know what to do with himself when he is not being number one."
The 79-year-old's health is often at the centre of discussions. The recent worry follows some experts suggesting that he is also showing signs of cognitive deterioration or dementia.
Recent analysis of his often speech patterns have added fuel to the fire. Analysis by the New York Times (NYT) found Mr Trump has been "speaking far more words" in public in his second term than during the first year of his first stint in office.
But while critics argue that his rambling, repetitive style as a sign of decline, others argue it is a natural habit and clever rhetorical strategy.
