There was a dispute between Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi in the Parliament complex today i.e. on Wednesday. Rahul called Bittu a traitor friend, to which the Union Minister retorted. Bitti called Rahul an enemy of the country. After this entire controversy, Ravneet Singh Bittu has targeted Rahul and the Gandhi family. He said Congress had spread fire in Punjab. Thousands of Sikhs were targeted and murdered.
Bittu was talking about the 1984 riots here. He said that our sister and mother were murdered. It was a problem for my grandfather Sardar Beant Singh that if Rajiv Gandhi's name had to be taken as a martyr, then it would have to be called Shaheed-e-Azam Sardar Beant Singh as well.
The BJP MP said that the problem was that if the grandson of a martyr was with you for as long as he was with you, it was fine, but now that he is in BJP, you are addressing me with such words. Bittu said that Gandhi family is the enemy of the country. They talk against soldiers every day.
Bittu asked what does Rahul think of himself? He extended his hand towards me as if he was a king. He considers himself the master of this country and this world. I may not be from the Gandhi family, but I have a turban on my head. Therefore, when he offered to shake my hand, I said, you people are traitors to the country, enemies of the country who speak against the army and the country every day. Gandhi family is murderer of Sikhs, I will not join hands with the son of that family.
In fact, on Wednesday, there was an altercation between Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi and Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu, when in the Parliament complex the Congress leader addressed him as a traitor and in response Bittu called the Congress leader an enemy of the country. The incident occurred near the Makar Gate of Parliament, when eight opposition MPs, who were suspended for the remaining period of the current budget session, were protesting there.
Bittu, a former Congress leader, was entering the Parliament House and was heard commenting that they (the protesting MPs) have come after winning the war. On this, former Congress President Rahul Gandhi said, see a traitor is coming here…my traitor friend, don't worry, come back. On this Bittu said that they are enemies of the country. Rahul Gandhi tried to shake hands with Union Minister of State for Railways Bittu, however, the BJP leader did not shake hands and went straight inside the Parliament House.
