The thrill of cricket is returning: Horizon Premier League 2.0

Ranchi: Cricket festival will be celebrated once again at the historic Birsa Railway Ground. Following the stupendous success of last year, ‘Horizon Premier League (HPL) 2.0’ is being organised. This time the tournament will be even more grand and challenging, in which 8 teams will compete to win the title.

Competitions and teams

This year the number of teams in the tournament has been increased to 8. These teams include:

• Horizon Gladiators
• Horizon Hunters
• Horizon Kings
• Horizon Warriors
• Horizon Blasters
• Horizon Daredevils
• Horizon Hunks
• VE Volcanos

Last season, Horizon Gladiators performed brilliantly and won the champion title, while Horizon Hunters finished as the runner-up.

Knockout format and exciting matches

This time the knockout format has been selected to make the competition more exciting:

• early stages: Initially there will be 4 knockout matches between 8 teams, which will be of 8 overs each.
• Semifinals: The winner of the first knockout match will face the winner of the third match, and the winner of the second knockout match will face the winner of the fourth match.
• Grand Finale: Both the teams winning the semi-finals will play the title match, which will be in T-10 (10-10 overs) format.
