Major news has emerged from the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC). The commission has declared the results of the PCS Main Examination 2024.  The commission has declared 2719 candidates successful for the interview stage. The PCS Mains written examination was held from June 29, 2025, to July 2, 2025, at examination centers in Prayagraj and Lucknow. A total of 13,776 candidates appeared in the Mains examination.

Recruitment is to be done for 947 posts across 24 different categories in the PCS cadre, with selection for 60 posts based solely on the written examination. The results for these posts will be declared along with the final results. For the remaining 887 vacancies, selection will be based on both the written examination and the interview. A separate notification will be issued regarding the interviews. The results were declared by the Secretary of the UP Public Service Commission, Ashok Kumar.
