Aam Aadmi Party's national media in-charge Anurag Dhanda has strongly condemned the statements made by Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini in Punjab. He said that the statements of CM Nayab Singh are not only beyond the facts but are also deliberately misleading the public. This statement is an attempt to divert attention from the failures and scams of the BJP government in Haryana.
You The leader said that the government which could not get the rights of the suffering farmers and laborers in its own state, does not have the moral right to preach to others. Anurag Dhanda further said that today in Punjab, Haryana CM Nayab Singh has admitted that Mohalla Clinics have been closed as soon as the BJP government came to power in Delhi. From which one thing is clear that BJP does not provide facilities to the people but stops the facilities.
Anurag Dhanda said that the biggest example is the work-slip scam of about Rs 1500 crore that came to light in the Haryana Labor Department, which has exposed the historical deception done to the poor labourers. In Haryana Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, in the investigation of about 6 lakh work-slips, more than 5.46 lakh were found to be fake, i.e. more than 90 percent of the irregularities. Out of 2.21 lakh registrations, only 14,240 turned out to be correct.
He said that on an average Rs 2 to 2.5 lakh per person was withdrawn from schemes like maternity benefit, education assistance and scholarship in the name of fake labourers, while the real laborers are still making rounds of government offices. This scam is not the fault of any small employee, but is the result of an organized corrupt system, which got political patronage.
He said government estimates revealed a loss of more than Rs 2,000 crore due to illegal mining in Nuh district, where more than 80 crore tonnes of mineral material was extracted from the Aravalli hills. Investigative agencies confirmed a loss of about Rs 1200 crore in Dadam area of Bhiwani and seven laborers died in the 2022 landslide. According to the CAG report, illegal mining and royalty evasion in the Aravalli region caused a loss of more than Rs 5000 crore, while the NGT had to impose a fine of Rs 66 crore. More than 860 FIRs were registered on illegal mining in Yamunanagar during 2025, yet the mafia remained fearless.
He said that a huge scam also took place in paddy procurement in the name of farmers. In 2025, FIRs registered in several districts including Karnal revealed that 24,431 quintals of paddy, worth approximately Rs 6.31 crore, was found missing from the papers in a single mill. The total loss due to fake gate passes and cheap paddy of other states being shown on MSP was estimated to be more than Rs 4000 crore. The farmer kept wandering for payment, while the mafia and mill owners remained safe.
Anurag Dhanda said that the biggest injustice was done to the youth of Haryana in the form of recruitment scams. Between 2014 and 2024, more than 20 recruitment scams including HTET, HSSC, HPSC and police recruitment came to light, more than 29 FIRs were registered and many examinations had to be cancelled. In 2025, a case of cheating youth through fake recruitment website also came to light, which proved that the corrupt network is still active today.
Anurag Dhanda said that these scams have had a direct impact on the economic condition of Haryana. After 2014, the debt on the state has increased to approximately Rs 4 lakh crore by 2024-25. The question is that if so much loan was taken, where did that money go? Neither the condition of government schools, nor hospitals, nor farmers' income increased, nor did the youth get permanent employment. It is clear that this debt was not a result of development but was a result of corruption and plunder.
He said that statements like the people of Punjab have made up their mind are proof of arrogance and being disconnected from reality. The public is intelligent and knows who did actual work in the crisis and who just made statements. Funny and hollow statements of Chief Minister Saini cannot change the truth.
