Wang and Hsu share a 12-year-old daughter Wang Hsi Yueh and a 10-year-old son Wang Hsi Lin.

Following Hsu’s passing last year, the children have been living in Beijing with their father and his wife, Mandy Ma, after Wang was appointed their legal guardian, according to The Standard.

As Ma is currently pregnant, her mother has reportedly been staying with the family to assist with childcare duties and to support Ma during her pregnancy.

In a recent livestream, Ma said she plans to spend her postpartum confinement period in Taiwan. She explained that Wang frequently travels for work and would be unable to stay by her side full-time or remain at a postpartum care center for an extended period. Being in Taiwan, she said, would allow her to rely on the support of family and friends.

After completing her confinement, Ma said, she intends to bring her newborn back to Beijing. It remains unclear whether Wang’s two children with Hsu will accompany her to Taiwan or remain in Beijing.

Hsu, best known for her roles in the television dramas “Meteor Garden,” “Mars” and “Summer’s Desire,” died last year at the age of 49 in Japan due to pneumonia- complications.

She married Wang in 2011, and the couple divorced in 2021, citing irreconcilable differences. Hsu later remarried in February 2022 to her former boyfriend, South Korean musician DJ Koo, 56.

Wang, 45, went on to marry Ma, a 27-year-old businesswoman and online influencer, in May 2024.
