UPSC CSE 2026: Applications for the UPSC Civil Services Examination have started..

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the notification for the UPSC Civil Services Exam 2026, and the application process has begun. Candidates preparing for the IAS exam can fill out the application form online by the stipulated last date, February 24, 2026. Please note that the online form can only be filled out on the official UPSC website, upsconline.nic.in; applications submitted through any other means will not be accepted.

Eligibility for the Civil Services Examination
To participate in the Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2026, candidates must have a minimum of a graduate degree. The minimum age of the candidate should be 21 years and the maximum age should not exceed 32 years. However, reserved categories such as SC, ST, OBC, and PwD candidates are given age relaxation as per the rules. The age will be calculated as of August 1, 2026.

Application Process

To fill out the UPSC CSE application form, first visit the official website upsconline.nic.in.
On the homepage, click on "Create Account" and fill in the required details to complete the One-Time Registration (OTR).
After that, you can complete the application process by filling in the other details.
After filling the form, pay the prescribed fee (if applicable).
Submit the form and take a printout for your records.

Application Fee
Candidates have to pay an application fee of Rs. 100. The fee can be paid online. SC, ST, PwD, and all female candidates are exempted from paying the application fee.
A total of 933 vacancies will be filled through this recruitment. The preliminary exam will be conducted on May 24, 2026. For more details, please refer to the official notification.
