Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Saturday launched several development works related to civic amenities in the AC and SD blocks of Shalimar Bagh assembly constituency. On this occasion the Chief Minister said that Delhi government The objective is not just to get the construction work done, but to make the daily life of the citizens more convenient, safe and dignified.
Construction and improvement works of roads, drains and drains will be done in AC block and SD (C) area. In these areas, construction of RMC (Ready Mix Concrete) roads, construction of drains using RCC technology, road strengthening and drainage system will be strengthened, which will provide relief from the problem of waterlogging during rainy season.
The major projects launched by the Chief Minister include construction of roads and drains through RMC and dense carpeting technology in SD (C) block. Apart from this, construction of new drain using RCC technology has also been started on the route from SD (C) Block to LD Kohat Metro Station, which will ensure a permanent solution to the drainage problem in this area.
Besides, works related to walkways, walking tracks, boundary walls and beautification have also been started in various parks of AC Block including Nehru Park, Apna Park and Central Park located in Shalimar Bagh.
Apart from this, various development works related to streets, drains and parks in AD, AJ, AL, AE, AF and SD (C) blocks of Shalimar Bagh have been approved. Under these works, paving of streets and drains, repair of walkways and boundary walls in parks, beautification of public places and expansion of basic civic amenities as per local needs will be done.
