RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat in Mumbai 100 years of Sangh Yatra-New horizons Many important issues were discussed in the program. There was also the issue of tariff, on which he said that we cannot remain isolated from the world but if we transact, we will do so as per our wish. We will not do it under anyone's pressure, nor will we take decisions after seeing the tariff. Whatever purchase we make will strengthen the economy of our country. We should adopt Swadeshi.
The Sangh chief said, where there is no alternative and there is no way other than abroad, foreign goods can be adopted. At the policy level we say that in international trade there has to be give and take. The policy is going on slowly. The policy changes at its own pace and will move forward but at our home level we will implement Swadeshi.
Talking about the work of the Sangh, he said, the work of the Sangh is unique, there is no such work in the whole world. The Sangh has not come out in competition with any other organization. Nor has it come out in any reaction or protest. The Sangh does not want popularity. The Sangh does not want power. The Sangh is there to ensure that all the good works being done in the country are done properly.
Mohan Bhagwat said, as a society, are we a society? There is so much discrimination and stereotypes prevalent there. There is illiteracy. Unless we try to overcome all this and make our society a healthy society, our efforts will remain incomplete. Sangh creator Dr. Hedgewar was a born patriot. Even in very difficult circumstances, he never gave up two things - first, to always get first class in his studies. Second, to actively participate in whatever was going on for the country.
He said, the Sangh believes that in India everyone is a Hindu and no one else is. What does Hindu mean? By calling it Hindu, we should not consider it a religion, it is not the name of any particular community. Do not consider it a ritual of worship. Hindu is not a noun, but an adjective. Babar attacked Punjab. When Guru Nanak Dev saw all the atrocities in the country, he wrote, Khorasan Khasmana Kiya, Hindustanu Daraiya, Aapai Dosu Na Dei Karta, Jamu Kari Mughalu Chadaiya. Guru Nanak has used Hindustan in his speech. He has written that so many atrocities took place that neither the modesty of Hindu women nor the dignity of Muslim women was saved.
