Manchester United icon Roy Keane has slammed Manchester City for a 'lack of respect' after music could be heard from the away dressing room during Liverpool head coach Arne Slot's post-match interview.

City were heading for another disappointing result in the Premier League title race after Dominik Szoboszlai broke the deadlock for the Reds in the 74th minute at Anfield. However, Pep Guardiola's side turned the game on its head late on, with Bernardo Silva equalising before Erling Haaland scored a 93rd minute winner.

Wild celebrations followed next to the 3,000 travelling fans before City's players then continued in the changing room. Indeed, music could be heard blaring from the City dressing room while Slot held his interview post-match.

It's safe to say Keane was left unimpressed with City. "I will be interested to see if the music is on when Pep is doing his talk," he told Sky Sports. "Man City are entitled to enjoy themselves, but they have to show a little bit of respect.

"Turn the bloody music down while people are doing press interviews. It is ridiculous."

Discussing the game as a whole and where it leaves City in this season's title race, Keane added: "Huge result. Big lift for City. Their record here is not great. Pep said before the game, when you come to Anfield you need to show personality and character - and this City team showed it. Particularly in the second half.

"They were very good, in terms of football in the first half. We've been critical of this team over the last 18 months because of the standards City have set and this team haven't really reached it, but today - in the second half - they showed desire, quality.

"It's more than three points. Psychologically it's a big lift - and a bit of a hammer blow for Arsenal. They still have a nice lead, but to see City go a goal down and then for them to get three points, it's huge."

The win has moved City back to six points behind leaders Arsenal with 13 matches to go. Guardiola's side still have to face the Gunners at the Etihad Stadium in April.

Speaking on his team's performance against Liverpool and expressing his delight to get three points on the board, Guardiola said post-match: "It's so difficult. Anfield is Anfield.

"The tradition, the history, the crowd. It looks smaller, tighter, the pitch does not look the same size of the Etihad. The players they have and everything. Of course, we would be disappointed [if we lost] and the questions would be it's over. Six is better than nine, but it's still a lot considering Arsenal and how strong they are in all departments."
