Unique contest in Maharashtra, Congress candidate defeats his sister-in-law from BJP by 2 votes

The hustle and bustle of Zilla Parishad elections continues in Maharashtra. The results of 12 district councils of the state have been declared today, in which BJP has maintained its dominance. At many places, candidates have won by small margins, in which the results of Latur seat have attracted the attention of the entire country. Here a candidate has defeated his elder sister-in-law by just two votes.

Sister-in-law and sister-in-law had contested elections against each other in Kamkheda Zilla Parishad area of ​​Renapur taluka of Latur district. Ashatai Bhise was a candidate on Congress ticket, while Sarita Bhise contested on BJP ticket. For this reason the conflict between the two had become a topic of discussion in the entire district. The results of this election have been declared today. In this, Congress's younger sister Ashatai Bhise has defeated BJP's Sarita Bhise by just two votes.

BJP flag in Latur District Council

Whereas in Latur Zilla Parishad elections, BJP has won 18 out of 59 seats. Whereas NCP has got 12 seats and Shiv Sena has got 1 seat. These three parties have won a total of 31 seats. For this reason Mahayuti has got a clear majority. In Latur, Congress has got 23 seats, Shiv Sena Thackeray group has got 1, Sharad Pawar group has got 1 and others have got 3 seats. Congress has emerged as the largest party in Latur, but other parties of Mahavikas Aghadi have not been successful as expected. For this reason Mahavikas Aghadi has had to face defeat in this election.

BJP wins on 7 out of 12

BJP has won 7 out of 12 Zilla Parishad elections in the state. This includes Sindhudurg, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Parbhani, Dharashiv, Latur, Satara and Solapur district councils. Eknath Shinde's Shiv Sena has hoisted saffron in 2 district councils of Raigarh and Ratnagiri. NCP has won a landslide victory in Pune and Kolhapur Zilla Parishad. Sharad Pawar's NCP has won in Sangli.
