Chandigarh: Former Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has been admitted to Fortis Hospital in Mohali due to health problems. According to the information, he was having difficulty in walking for a long time, after which doctors have advised him to undergo knee operation. However, Captain Amarinder Singh has said that he is completely healthy and this is a routine procedure.

There is an atmosphere of concern among his supporters after the news of his being admitted to the hospital. The Captain’s office has clarified that it is only a knee problem and there is nothing to panic. Soon he will be discharged from the hospital after the operation.

When questions were raised on BJP’s working style

Captain Amarinder Singh was recently in the news for his political statements. In December last year, he had criticized the working style of his party BJP and said that no advice is taken from him in the party and all decisions are taken from Delhi.

He had said that the attitude of Congress is more flexible and consultative, whereas BJP seems strict in its stance. After this statement, speculations started about his leaving BJP, although he rejected these speculations.

Clear refusal to return to Congress

When he was asked a question on the possibilities of returning to Congress, he rejected it outright. The Captain had said that he is still hurt by the way he was removed from the post of Chief Minister. Therefore the question of joining Congress does not arise.

However, during this time he also praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He had said that PM Modi has special affection for Punjab and he will do anything for the welfare of the state. Also, he had also suggested that BJP should form an alliance with Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) to become stronger in Punjab.
