T20 World Cup 2026 Points Table Updated: The turmoil continues in the points table of T20 World Cup 2026. The atmosphere is changing after every match. After the match played at Wankhede ground in Mumbai on 11 February, the England team was seen lagging behind in the race of Super-8. This happened because he lost the match against West Indies. England had a chance to keep themselves at the forefront in the Super-8 race by winning this match. But, it had to face defeat by 30 runs and the result was that it is currently lagging behind in the points table in the race for Super-8.

England team lags behind in the race for Super-8

The 20 teams playing in the T20 World Cup 2026 have been divided into 4 groups. Top 2-2 teams from each group have to go to Super-8. The England team is in Group C, where at present it seems to be out of the top 2 teams. This means that he is also lagging behind in the race for Super-8.

West Indies, which defeated England in Group C, is on top. This is because he has won both his matches played so far. Whereas Scotland and England have won 1 and lost 1 after playing 2 matches each. But on the basis of better run rate, Scotland is ahead of England in the points table. Apart from these, Nepal and Italy have not opened their account of victory in this group.

South Africa is not number 1 even after winning against Afghanistan

On 11 February, a match of Group D was also played, in which the teams of South Africa and Afghanistan were face to face. This match was so exciting that not one but two super overs were seen in it. In the end, the match went to South Africa but even after the win, South Africa could not become the top team in the points table of Group D because New Zealand's run rate was better than that. Both New Zealand and South Africa have won both their matches and have 4 points. But, New Zealand remained ahead in the points table with a run rate of 1.919 as against South Africa's run rate of 1.425.

Australia becomes boss, India can leave Pakistan behind

Changes also happened in the points table of Group B, where Australia has grabbed the number 1 position after winning its first match. Apart from this, Pakistan is sitting at the top in the points table of Group A after winning 2 out of 2 matches played so far. But India will have a chance to leave Namibia behind by defeating them. India has played only one match so far. Its run rate is much better than Pakistan.
