German football manager Thomas Tuchel is set to lead the English team in the 2028 UEFA European Football Championship.

The news comes after Thomas officially signed the contract to extend his tenure on February 12.

The English team’s official X account shared the news writing “Thomas Tuchel will lead our #ThreeLions through to 2028 after signing a new contract.”

Thomas expressed his excitement after the news was announced saying he is glad to extend his time with England.

He said “It is no secret to anyone that I have loved every minute so far of working with my players and coaches, and I cannot wait to lead them to the World Cup.”

The coach said the 2028 event will be his big project and he is excited to lead the English men in the event which begins on June 9, 2028.

The 52-year-old’s current contract was set to end after the 2026 World Cup that is set to be played in US.

Thomas was previously hired to coach Englad in January 2025.

The 2028 Euro will be held in England, Wales, Scotland, and Ireland.
