News India Live, Digital Desk: The poor condition of roads and digging at many places in Uttar Pradesh has now become a big political issue. During the budget session of the Assembly, Jansatta Dal (Democratic) President Raghuraj Pratap Singh alias Raja Bhaiya cornered the government by raising the issue of roads dug under PWD and Jal Jeevan Mission. Interestingly, this issue has become heated when recently former BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh has also expressed his displeasure over the functioning of his own government and the bad roads. Roads are being dug, but are not being built. Raja Bhaiya, while sharing the pain of the public in the House, said that in the name of development, roads are dug in the state, but it takes months to rebuild them. Raja Bhaiya’s logic: He said that even the newly constructed roads are being constructed for laying pipelines. Due to which both people’s money and hard work are being wasted. Danger of accidents: The MLA warned that accidents are happening every day due to these incomplete and dug up roads and people’s life has become difficult due to dust. Brij Bhushan and Raja Bhaiya’s voices meet. There is a strong discussion in the political circles that two ‘Bahubali’ leaders of UP are talking in the same voice on the same issue. Brij Bhushan’s Attitude: Only a few days ago, Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh had reprimanded the officials from the stage regarding the bad roads in Gonda. Opposition’s support: On this question of Raja Bhaiya, other members of the opposition in the House also expressed their support by thumping the table, due to which the pressure on the government seems to be increasing. The government responded. Amidst the questions being raised in the House, the government has assured that the work of repairing the roads is on priority. Instructions have been given to the concerned departments to bring the roads back to their original condition as soon as the work is completed. It has also been said that action will be taken against negligent contractors.
