New Delhi: As the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) prepares to begin the Class 10, 12 board exams from February 17, Delhi police have stepped up arrangements to ensure students face minimal disruption on exam day. With heightened security and traffic regulations in place due to a major international event, special measures have been introduced for smooth commuting.
The advisory comes amid traffic diversions in central Delhi owing to the ongoing AI Impact Summit near Bharat Mandapam, Delhi. In response, the Delhi Police has announced facilitative steps to assist candidates travelling to exam centres.
Traffic advisory, student assistanceIn an official communication shared on the social media platform X, Delhi Police stated that traffic personnel have been instructed to extend full cooperation to board exam students. Students carrying the CBSE admit cards or official date sheets will be given priority movement in areas affected by traffic restrictions.
Authorities have urged parents and students to plan their journeys factoring in possible diversions and congestion in central Delhi. Police officials will remain deployed at key junctions to manage vehicular flow and help candidates reach their centres on time.
This year, approximately 46 lakh students are expected to appear for the CBSE Secondary (Class 10) and Senior Secondary (Class 12) examx. As per the official schedule, exams will be conducted in a single shift from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM.
CBSE board exam day guidelines, first papersCBSE has reiterated mandatory guidelines for candidates appearing in the 2026 board exams. Students must carry a hard copy of their admit card to the exam centre. Entry will not be permitted without the hall ticket.

On the first day, Class 10 students will appear for Mathematics (Basic and Standard), while Class 12 students will take exams in Biotechnology, Entrepreneurship and Shorthand (English and Hindi).
