Holi 2026: The festival of Holi will be celebrated this year on 4 March 2026. This festival falls every year in the month of Phalgun. Holi is celebrated with colors and gulal. Whenever a festival comes, it brings happiness with it. But if some things are not taken care of, it can spoil our health. Actually, people get so engrossed in playing Holi that they do not even think about dehydration.

Water is most important for our body because sunlight and colors reduce the water level of our body. Today we will tell you about some healthy drinks which you can try during Holi.

Try these healthy drinks on Holi

1.Potseed syrup- Khus is a cold substance. On Holi, instead of thandai made from bhang or milk, you can drink khus sherbet. This will also give you freshness and remove water deficiency from the body. This drink also removes acidity and is good for the kidneys. This means you can also enjoy your favorite snacks during Holi.

2.Coconut water- Coconut water also helps in keeping hydrated. You can drink it just like that. It supplies electrolytes in our body. If you want to make a fusion drink from it, you can add some black salt and mint leaves to coconut water. This will make the drink even more refreshing.

3. Lemon water- The combination of water and lemon keeps our body active, removes water deficiency and also gives energy. By drinking 1-2 glasses of lemon water while playing Holi, there will be no shortage of water in your body. Making this drink is quite easy. For this, mix water, lemon and rock salt together. If you drink sweet lemon water, you can add honey instead of sugar.

4.Buttermilk- To avoid dehydration on Holi, you can also consume buttermilk. To make this, you have to prepare a thin drink by mixing curd with water. Grind some black salt, mint and coriander leaves and mix it. After this add roasted cumin powder in it. Drinking this also improves digestion.

5.Detox water- To make this you have to mix seasonal fruits in water. Prepare a drink by mixing cucumber, beetroot, lemon, apple and fruits like orange or watermelon and mint leaves in water. It will detox your body and keep it hydrated even in festive mode.

Avoid drinking these drinks

Dr. Rahul Mathur of the Internal Medicine Department of CK Birla Hospital tells that to avoid the problem of dehydration during festivals and fasting, you should consume water. Apart from this, caffeinated drinks like coffee and tea should be avoided.
