A few days back, Ranveer Singh announced his withdrawal from the film project, sparking a flurry of speculation regarding who would take on the lead role. Initially, there were rumors that Hrithik Roshan might step in as Don, but he has since clarified that he was never involved in the project. Now, fresh rumors suggest that Farhan Akhtar himself might take on the iconic role.

Is Farhan Akhtar Set to Play Don?
As per reports from the Deccan Chronicle, claims that Farhan will portray Don following Ranveer's exit have been deemed inaccurate. Earlier, there were indications that Shah Rukh Khan was open to reprising his role, but he expressed a desire for Atlee to direct the film.

Sources indicate that since the Don franchise is under Farhan's ownership, it would be unlikely for him to step back as director. Most of these speculations are being regarded as unfounded, especially since no official announcements have been made.

Farhan Akhtar is also preparing for his Hollywood debut. He had announced "Don 3" in 2023, featuring Ranveer Singh and Kiara Advani. However, current reports suggest that no actors have been officially confirmed for the film yet. Farhan is also concentrating on other ventures, including the much-anticipated "Jee Le Zaraa" and his upcoming Hollywood project, "The Beatles: A Four-Film Cinematic Event."
