On Tuesday, Fortis Hospital in Mohali, Punjab, along with nearby schools, received bomb threats. In response, Punjab police and security agencies have heightened their alert levels, especially since Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is currently hospitalized at Fortis for treatment. The threats were attributed to a group calling itself the Khalistan National Army. Similar threats have been reported in Mohali and Chandigarh in the past, but they were found to be false alarms. Nevertheless, the Punjab police are actively investigating the situation.

Just hours after being discharged from the hospital on Monday evening, CM Mann was readmitted due to fatigue, according to sources.

Ahmedabad Schools Also Targeted by Bomb Threats

Earlier, after leaving the hospital, Mann went directly to Moga to participate in an anti-drug campaign event titled 'Yudh Nashaiyan Viruddh.' Following his address at the gathering, he returned to the hospital for further treatment. Meanwhile, several schools in Ahmedabad received bomb threats, prompting authorities to place them on high alert. Officials reported that threatening emails warning of explosions were received, which mentioned the creation of Khalistan in India, causing panic among students, staff, and parents.

These emails, written in Punjabi, were sent to multiple schools across the city. In response, Ahmedabad police deployed additional personnel to ensure safety and began thorough inspections of school premises. According to reports, the Ahmedabad district education officer confirmed that several schools had received bomb threats via email, which also referenced the intention to create Khalistan.
