New Delhi: An important hearing was held on Thursday in the CBI case to Bihar’s famous ‘Land for Job’ i.e. land in exchange for job scam. Tej Pratap Yadav, elder son of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, appeared in Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court. During the hearing, Tej Pratap completely rejected all the allegations against him.

He clearly said that he is innocent and will face trial in this case. After this the court formally framed charges against him. However, the court has given a relief to Tej Pratap Yadav and exempted him from personal appearance in future.

Tej Pratap will face trial

According to the information, the main point of the hearing held on Thursday was to frame charges against Tej Pratap Yadav. After the court framed charges, Tej Pratap Yadav denied the allegations and said that he will face trial following the legal process. This is an important step in this case, as the trial process will now move forward.

Earlier, on February 16, Lalu Prasad Yadav and former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi had also rejected the allegations against them in the same case.

Court’s strict remarks and previous developments

This matter has been a legal challenge for Lalu Yadav’s family for a long time. It is noteworthy that on January 29, the Rouse Avenue Court had given permission to Lalu Prasad Yadav, Rabri Devi, Tejashwi Yadav and Tej Pratap Yadav and other accused to appear between February 1 and February 25 for framing of charges.

While hearing the case in January this year, the court had made a very strict comment. The court had said that prima facie it appeared that Lalu Yadav and his family acted like a ‘criminal gang’ and a wider conspiracy was hatched on their behalf. Now after framing of charges against all the accused in this case, the trial process will proceed.
