PM Kisan Yojana 22nd Installment: More than half of the country's population still earns their living through agriculture. Many of these farmers are unable to earn much from farming. To increase the income of such farmers, the central government is running several schemes, the largest of which is the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. Under this scheme, eligible farmers are given ₹6,000 annually in three installments.

Now, millions of farmers are awaiting the 22nd installment. But like the previous 21st installment, this time too, millions of farmers may face a setback. Previously, many farmers' funds were blocked. This time too, many farmers will not receive the next ₹2,000 installment.

Those who do not own land will not receive benefits.

The most important rule of this scheme relates to land. Benefits are available only to farmers whose agricultural land is registered in their name. If a person cultivates another's land on sharecropping or rent, but the land is not in their name, they will not be considered eligible for this scheme.

Land records are matched with state government data. If the information is incomplete or incorrect, installments may be withheld. Farmer IDs have been made mandatory for new applicants in many states. Without valid land records and necessary identification, receiving the 22nd installment may be difficult.

Instalments may be delayed if e-KYC is not completed.

Completing e-KYC is mandatory as per government orders. Farmers who have not yet completed e-KYC may face a withholding of their installments. This process is online and easy. Farmers can complete OTP-based e-KYC through the official portal or mobile app.

Biometric verification may also be required in some cases. If there's an error in your Aadhaar or your mobile number isn't updated, you could face problems. Therefore, check all your details before the 22nd installment. Otherwise, even a small mistake could result in a loss of ₹2,000.

Aadhaar-Linked Bank Account Required

The installment is transferred directly to the bank account. Therefore, it's essential that the bank account is linked to Aadhaar. If the account isn't linked to Aadhaar or the NPCI mapping isn't updated, the payment may fail. Many farmers' previous installments were delayed for this reason. Additionally, mismatches in name, date of birth, or bank details can also cause problems.

The date of the 22nd installment has not yet been officially announced. However, according to media reports, the amount is expected to be transferred before Holi. It's best for farmers to complete all the necessary formalities now.
