Baba Khatushyam Temple is in Sikar district of Rajasthan. Where Lakhi fair is starting from today. Lakhs of people were eagerly waiting to go to this fair. Lakkhi Mela is being organized by Khatushyam Temple. The temple committee said that this fair will continue till February 28. Meaning this fair will run for 8 days. The temple committee has estimated that this time around 35 lakh devotees will come to the fair. The temple committee has made arrangements for a safe fair and darshan of the Lord for the devotees.
The police administration is always taking care of the safety of the people coming to this fair. The police has issued some guidelines for the people coming to the fair. Besides, a separate corridor has been made for the devotees coming to the temple on foot from Sikar, so that the devotees coming by car can come on foot. To control the crowd in the fair, 14 lines have been made in the temple premises. Seeing the grandeur of this fair, this question is arising in the minds of people. According to the religious belief of the people, Barbarik (Baba Khatushyam) was the son of Ghatotkach and grandson of Bhima. Barbarik had promised his mother that he would support the losers in the Mahabharata war and make the loser win the war. After which Lord Krishna appeared in the form of a sage in front of Lord Barbarik. Lord Krishna asked for Barbarik’s head as Guru Dakshina, after which Barbarik without any hesitation handed over his head at the feet of Shri Krishna.
Lord Krishna became happy after seeing the honesty of Lord Barbarik. After this, Lord Krishna blessed Lord Barbarik that people will worship Lord Barbarik in Kaliyuga and he will be worshiped by the name Shyam. For this reason, even today people worship the famous Lord Shyam with devotion. People believe that the famous Lord Shyam gives support to the defeated.
That is why this fair is celebrated in the month of Phalgum. Because Lord Khatushyam had donated his head in this month. It is believed that whatever devotees visit Lord Khatushyam in this month, God definitely fulfills their wishes.
5000 police are deployed all the time for the safety of people in Lakhi fair. CCTV cameras have been installed at various places for the safety of people. Lakhs of people are going to come to this fair, hence 14 lines have been made to control the crowd. By passing through these lines people will be able to have darshan of Baba Khatushyam. For information, let us tell you that people will not be able to see BIP in this fair.
To maintain security in this fair, Sikar district administration has made some important guidelines. It is mandatory for all people to follow these rules. There is a ban on people making DJ in Lakhi fair. So that there is no DJ noise around the temple. Carrying perfume and thorny rose flowers is also prohibited in the fair.
Khatu Shyam Temple of Rajasthan is located in Sikar. Where people can go by train, bus or plane. If you are going by plane then you can go to Jaipur from your city. Sikar is a few kilometers away from Jaipur so you will have to take a taxi or bus. Then you will reach Khatu Shyam Temple.
If you are going to Khatu Shyam Temple by train, then get down at Ringas Junction station nearest to the temple. The temple is at a distance of a few kilometers from this station. Where you can go by taxi or bus.
