Tragedy as man and teen found dead in burnt-out car after horror crash

A man and teenage boy have been found dead inside a car aftr it caught fire following a horror crash in the Highlands. Emergeny services were called at A830 at Corpach near Fort William after receiving reports of a car fire at 3am on Saturday (February 21).

It is believed the car, a blue Vauxhall Astra, was involved in a single-vehicle collision at 1.45am. According to police, the bodies of two people were found inside the car. While the formal investigation is yet to take place, the officials have informed the families of two males, 16 and 14, about the incident. Sergeant Calum MacAulay said: "Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the people who died in this crash.

"It's vital we establish exactly what happened and I'm appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

"If you were on the A830 in the early hours of Saturday morning and saw anything which may help, please come forward.

"I'd also appeal to drivers with dash-cam footage of the area around the time to review this for anything significant."
