On March 19, 2026, the clash of Dhurandhar: The Revenge and Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Adults is expected to reach theaters with 10 crore viewers. This mega release starring Ranveer Singh and Yash can become the biggest cinematic clash of the Indian box office. India has seen competition between many big films at the box office in the past too. 'Dinky' and 'Salaar' were released together only two years ago. In 2001, there was a huge clash between 'Lagaan' and 'Gadar'. Every year on the occasion of Diwali and Christmas, two big films are seen competing to attract the attention of the audience. Now on March 19, 2026, two big films - 'Dhurandhar: The Revenge' and 'Toxic: A Fairytale for Adults' are being released in theatres, an exciting competition will be seen on this day. The audience is eagerly waiting for the blockbuster movie of two big stars.

Dhurandhar 2 vs Toxic

Dhurandhar: The Revenge is the sequel to the 2025 blockbuster film Dhurandhar. The film, starring Ranveer Singh, became the second highest-grossing Hindi film of all time with worldwide earnings of Rs 1,300 crore. Its sequel is being eagerly awaited and many believe that it will surpass the prequel as well.

On the other hand, Toxic features Yash in the lead role for the first time after the KGF franchise, which had earned Rs 1500 crore at the box office. Apart from Yash, this film, which is going to be released on an all India level, has five actresses, which further increases its popularity.

Both the films Dhurandhar 2 and Toxi are not ready to change their release date, due to which there is a possibility of a big competition. This is perhaps the first time that two films claiming to earn Rs 1000 crore are releasing on the same day.

According to industry pundits and PROCAT Cinema Measurement Instrument, if both these films are successful at the box office, a total of 10 crore viewers will come to the theatres. This speculation is not far from fact, as Dhurandhar and KGF Chapter 2 - the previous releases of both the lead actors - had registered a viewership figure of 4 crore in India.

If this figure turns out to be true, then the pairing of Dhurandhar and Toxic will become the biggest Indian cinematic phenomenon of the 21st century, surpassing even Baahubali 2 in terms of viewership. Which shows the audience's passion for films.
