Sky Sports subscribers will soon gain access to free streaming services worth more than £20 as part of a major bundle restructuring. Sky has revealed that complimentary access to Disney+, HBO Max and Hayu will be added to its Ultimate TV and Sky Sports package. Those paying £42 per month will enjoy over £20 worth of streaming platforms at no extra cost, along with Sky TV, free Netflix and discovery+.

The deal is available to existing Sky Ultimate TV customers and those who sign up before the changes come into force. However, Sky has confirmed that the package will increase by £2 monthly for subscribers joining from April 1 onwards. Those securing the Ultimate TV and Sky Sports bundle before this deadline will have Disney+ Standard with Ads, HBO Max Basic With Ads and Hayu added to their subscription at no extra charge.

The package features full Sky Sports coverage across nine dedicated channels, including the Premier League, EFL, Formula 1, darts and golf. Customers also receive access to more than 135 standard channels including Sky Atlantic and the upcoming relaunched Sky One.

HBO will launch in the UK on March 26, whilst specific rollout dates for Disney+ and Hayu are yet to be confirmed. The free streaming bundle is also included with the standard £22 Ultimate TV bundle, which doesn't feature Sky Sports channels.

Sky subscribers will unlock access to an extensive library of Disney+ sports documentaries, featuring Welcome to Wrexham, Flintoff, and Brawn: The Impossible Formula 1 Story. Beyond this, there's a wide selection of Netflix programmes on offer including Beckham, Formula 1: Drive to Survive, Full Swing and Carlos Alcaraz: My Way.

Subscribers should note, however, that even though HBO Max is now the platform for TNT Sports, a dedicated TNT Sports subscription will still be required for full coverage. Sky has additionally stated that its pricing 'may change' during the 24-month minimum contract period.

Sky Ultimate TV and Sky Sports
  • £42 per month, 24-month contract.
  • Nine Sky Sports channels.
  • 135+ regular channels such as Sky Atlantic.
  • Netflix Standard with Ads.
  • Discovery+ Entertainment.
  • Disney+ Standard with Ads (from March, date to be confirmed).
  • HBO Max Basic with Ads (from March 26).
  • Hayu (from July, with some shows available from March).

This development comes as Virgin Media rivals Sky with its own sports offering, reducing its flagship Sport package from £56.99 to £52.99. Whilst more expensive than Sky's deal, it provides over 200 channels, nine of them Sky Sports, alongside Netflix and 362Mbps broadband.

Announcing the new Ultimate TV package, Sophia Ahmad, Chief Consumer Officer at Sky, said: "This marks a new era for Sky and NOW. In a world-first, we're bringing together Sky, Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max and Hayu into a single Sky TV subscription.

"Nowhere else offers this breadth of incredible entertainment in a fully integrated experience, with everything customers love watching side by side so viewers can jump from show to show with ease. Millions of existing customers will get easy access to this new line-up as standard at unbeatable value.

"We're proud to continue Sky's legacy of innovation, making it easier than ever for people to enjoy the very best entertainment and best experience, all in one place."
