But its women's cricket team is on a tour of South Africa, where the ICC has reprimanded Pakistani player Sidra Amin for a mistake she made during the first ODI. Sidra Amin has been found guilty of Level 1 under the ICC Code of Conduct. The first ODI between the women's teams of Pakistan and South Africa was played on 22 February.
The ICC said in its statement that Sidra Amin has violated Article 2.2 of the ICC. For this mistake he has been found guilty under Level 1. He has been reprimanded in Sidra Amin's case. Also, one demerit point has been imposed on him, which is the second demerit point added to his account in the last 24 months. Earlier, one demerit point was added to Sidra Amin in the match played against India in October 2025.
Now the question is, what mistake did Sidra Amin do? During the first ODI against South Africa, Pakistani player Sidra Amin slammed her bat hard on the ground before leaving the crease after getting out. This incident happened in the 24th over of Pakistan's innings in that match.
That action of Sidra Amin displeased the field umpires of that match, Karin Klaste and Nimali Perera. He, along with the third umpire and the fourth umpire of the match, complained about that incident to the ICC. Sidra Amin confessed his crime in front of the ICC match referee. Since Sidra has accepted the mistake, there is no need for further hearing in this matter.
