Gold Silver Price Today: The price of gold has increased further. On the morning of 25 February, 24 carat gold in the capital Delhi reached Rs 161,940 per 10 grams. In Mumbai this price is Rs 161,790 per 10 grams. A day ago, the price of gold in Delhi bullion market had increased by Rs 400 to Rs 1,63,200 per 10 grams.

Despite the fall in international prices, gold prices rose in the domestic market due to increased buying by local jewelers and stockists. The spot price of gold in the international market is $5,157.16 per ounce. Analysts say that due to weakening of rupee, gold has become expensive for those holding other currencies.

  • Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata: Currently, the price of 22 carat gold in Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata is Rs 148,310 per 10 grams, while the price of 24 carat gold is Rs 161,790 per 10 grams.
  • Prices in Pune and Bengaluru: In both these cities, the price of 24 carat gold is Rs 161,790 per 10 grams and the price of 22 carat gold is Rs 148,310 per 10 grams.

Unlike gold, the price of another precious metal, silver, fell on the morning of February 25. The price has reached Rs 284,900 per kg. A day ago, the price of silver in Delhi Bullion Market remained stable at Rs 272,000 per kg. The spot price of silver in the international market is $88.19 per ounce. In January, the price of silver had crossed ₹ 4 lakh.

The market is now waiting for the minutes of the January meeting of the US Federal Reserve. This can provide clues about the direction of interest rates. Expectations of change in interest rates have a direct impact on precious metals like gold and silver. According to the Indian Bullion Jewelers Association (IBJA), on the evening of February 24, the price of 999 purity silver was Rs 2,62,912 per kg, which is 0.44% less than the previous closing price.
