People in India like to invest in property. One buys a plot according to his capacity. Now the most talked about deal of buying land in the world has come to light. This is considered to be the biggest plot sale so far.

This deal was done with Pathfinder Ranches located in Wyoming state of America. This huge property has recently been sold. Its total area is approximately 916,000 acres, which is four times larger than New York City and larger than the state of Rhode Island.

The listing price of this ranch was $79.5 million (approximately Rs 670 crore) and the deal was finalized on January 14, 2026. The ranch spans four counties in the Rocky Mountains and covers more than 1% of the state's total area. It includes more than 20 miles of the Sweetwater River, Pedro, Ferris, Seminole and portions of the Green Mountain ranges. Historic Independence Rock is also located here, located on the Oregon, Mormon, Pony Express and California Trails. This is a working cattle ranch, where more than 90,000 cattle can be kept. The identity of the buyer remained a mystery for several months. People were spreading various rumors on social media, but now it has been revealed that the buyer is Christopher Robinson. He is a member of the Summit County Council and CEO of Ensign Group LC. His family company already controls more than 1 million acres of private and public land in Utah, Idaho and Wyoming. This holding, known as Ensign Ranches, has now expanded with the addition of Pathfinder Ranch.

Before this deal, Robinson and his family's holdings were ranked 31st in Land Report magazine's Top 100 Landowners list. After adding Pathfinder Ranch, his total land holding could exceed 4.70 lakh acres, which would take him up 10 positions in the list and leave behind Amazon founder Jeff Bezos (4.62 lakh acres). Robinson has said that this purchase was not just for ranking or scale, but because of his love for the land and water. He is interested in both conservation and ranching. This ranch is made up of four different properties. The deeded area is 99,188 acres, the rest is on lease. Four years ago, Robinson purchased the neighboring Stone Ranch. It was listed by Scott Williams, broker of Swan Land Company. The final price has not been disclosed, but it is one of the biggest deals in Wyoming.
