The Rajasthan Board has announced the dates for the new academic session. Classes will begin from April 1 to May 15, and promotion rules have also been changed. Let's learn the full details.

In significant news for millions of students in Rajasthan, the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education has released a new academic calendar. According to this, classes for the new session will begin April 1, and schools will be required to conduct classes according to the established schedule. Promotion rules have also been changed.

According to the new calendar, regular classes will begin in all board-affiliated schools from April 1, 2026. School administrations have been instructed to ensure the start of the session on time. Classes will be conducted continuously until May 15, 2026. During this period, students will be required to focus on completing their syllabus while continuing their regular studies.

Summer vacation has been declared from May 16 to June 20, 2026. During this period, students will receive approximately 36 days of vacation, providing relief from the intense heat.

All schools will reopen from June 21, 2026, and classes will resume normally for the new session. The Education Department has mandated adherence to the established calendar.

The board has abolished the system of automatic promotion in classes 5 and 8. Students will now be required to achieve minimum passing marks to advance to the next class.

The board states that this decision is aimed at improving the quality of education. Promotion without passing exams was impacting academic performance. The new rule will encourage students to take their studies more seriously and strengthen their academic foundation.

After the new rules are implemented, students and parents will have to be more vigilant about their studies. Regular attendance, timely preparation, and good performance in exams will now be essential, as passing will prevent promotion to the next class.
