Badiyadka: A Maruti Eeco van went out of control and crashed into a house in a low-lying area at Kallaga Paddayi Mole turn under Belluru Panchayat on Thursday evening.

The driver, Ashraf from Kumbdaje, and Sunil, the son of Suresh who was sleeping inside the house at the time, sustained injuries in the incident.

Local residents rushed to the spot and rescued the driver from the van and Sunil from inside the damaged house. Both injured persons were shifted to Mulleria Hospital for treatment. A major portion of the house was damaged in the mishap.

Residents have expressed concern that the Belluru Paddayi Mole turn on the Mulleria–Arlapadavu road has become highly accident-prone and poses a serious risk to commuters and nearby households.
