GTB Hospital Gets 10-Bed Medical ICU, GI Endoscopy Suite, Ayush Stress Management Program Launched

A new 10-bed medical ICU was inaugurated at GTB Hospital. The GI HD Video Endoscopy Suite was also started and an integrated Ayush stress management program was launched at the facility. CM Rekha Gupta stated that these additions represent concrete steps toward strengthening the entire health system from treatment to prevention, not just facility expansion.

The new medical ICU adds 10 beds to the hospital's critical care capacity. This will enable treatment of more patients requiring intensive medical care. The GI HD Video Endoscopy Suite provides advanced diagnostic and treatment capabilities for gastrointestinal conditions. HD video technology offers improved visualization during procedures. An integrated Ayush stress management program was launched at the hospital. This program incorporates traditional medicine approaches to stress management.

CM Gupta mentioned that extensive improvements have been made in Delhi's health sector over the past year. Modern infrastructure is being developed and new OPD blocks are under construction. Ayushman Bharat and Vay Vandana schemes have been implemented in Delhi. These provide health coverage to eligible beneficiaries. Aarogya Mandirs are providing free and quality health services near homes. These centers offer primary healthcare facilities to local communities. MP Manoj Tiwari attended the inauguration event. Cabinet Minister Dr Pankaj Kumar Singh and MLA Sanjay Goyal were also present.

District President Master Vinod and other dignitaries participated in the ceremony at GTB Hospital. The 10-bed medical ICU expands critical care infrastructure at the hospital. ICU beds are essential for patients requiring intensive monitoring and treatment. The GI Endoscopy Suite enables procedures for diagnosing and treating conditions of the gastrointestinal tract. HD video technology improves accuracy of these procedures. The Ayush stress management program integrates traditional medicine approaches with modern healthcare. Stress management is an important component of preventive health.

New OPD blocks being constructed will increase outpatient capacity. This will reduce waiting times and improve access to consultations. Modern infrastructure development includes upgrading existing facilities and adding new capabilities. This enhances the quality of care provided to patients. Ayushman Bharat implementation provides health insurance coverage to eligible families. The scheme covers hospitalization expenses up to specified limits. Vay Vandana scheme addresses health needs of senior citizens. This provides additional support for elderly population.

Aarogya Mandirs serve as primary healthcare centers in neighborhoods. They offer basic medical services, diagnostics and medicines. GTB Hospital serves patients from East Delhi and surrounding areas. Expansion of facilities improves healthcare access for this population. The combined initiatives of ICU expansion, advanced diagnostic equipment and preventive programs represent a comprehensive approach to healthcare delivery.
