A case has been registered at Kadri police station against Vexon Company, operating in Kudroli, on charges of allegedly cheating students under the pretext of offering part-time employment.
According to a complaint filed by a female student, a case has been registered against the company’s founder Digvijay Desai, co-founders Ramachandra Shevale, Sunil Sawant and Anan Ahire, along with Mangaluru branch employees Pallavi, Anjali, Navya, Nivish, Jayashree and Junaid. The accused are alleged to have provided false information to students and job seekers, thereby committing criminal breach of trust.
As per the complaint, the student was contacted in January by a woman named Navya, who introduced herself as an employee of Vexon Company. She allegedly informed the complainant that she could earn between ₹15,000 and ₹30,000 per month by working from 2 pm to 5 pm. The job was described as software and data entry work. The student was also told to pay ₹2,500 as a fee for accommodation and food during the training period.
After agreeing to the terms, the complainant paid ₹2,500 and underwent training at the company along with other job aspirants. During the training, she was allegedly instructed to purchase products from various companies worth ₹51,000 and to recruit others into the organisation. She was told that she would receive commission if those recruits also purchased products.
Acting on these instructions, the complainant transferred ₹51,000 via Google Pay to a person named Nivish. However, she later found that the products supplied were of poor quality. The complaint further alleges that although the job was initially presented as software and data entry work, the company instead pressured her to recruit others. She has accused the company representatives of mentally pressuring and “brainwashing” her to follow their instructions and of forcibly obtaining her signatures on certain documents.
Police have registered a case and are investigating the matter.
