Big hike in LPG cylinder price at the beginning of March; Rates increased by Rs.

New Delhi : Many important regulations are changing in India from the new month of March, which are likely to have a direct impact on the daily lives and pockets of common people. All these changes are being implemented with the aim of enhancing security and improving service. Oil companies review the prices of LPG cylinders at the beginning of every month. Currently, the prices of 19 kg LPG cylinders have been increased by Rs. 28 to 31. However, there has been no change in domestic cylinder rates.

The price of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder has fluctuated in the last few months. Whereas domestic LPG cylinder price is stable. Last month, companies had increased the price of commercial cylinders by approximately Rs 49. From March 1, 2026, the railway ticket booking system may undergo a major overhaul. Currently, the prices of 19 kg LPG cylinders have been increased by Rs 28 to Rs 31 in major metros, which may hit businessmen hard. However, the prices of 14.2 kg LPG cylinders have remained unchanged.

Meanwhile, Indian Railways’ old UTS app may be discontinued and replaced by the new Railways Online app. With this new app, passenger general tickets, the platform process is being changed to make it simpler and digital.

New SIM Binding Rules

The government may implement new SIM binding rules from March 1 to curb digital fraud. Under this rule, messaging apps like WhatsApp, Telegram and Signal will be directly connected to your mobile SIM. SIM removed from your phone. Then these apps will stop working. Using these apps without a SIM will also not be possible through Wi-Fi. New security rules may come into effect from March 1 to make digital payment systems more secure. Online transfer of large amounts will no longer be based solely on UPI PIN.
